Hyundai announces future plans: 21 new electric cars are coming

Hyundai, which aims to sell 5.55 million per year globally by 2030, provided information about its future plans.

Hyundai Motor Company hosted the 2024 CEO Investor Day and talked about its future plans with its medium and long-term strategy, 'Hyundai Way'.

Hyundai emphasized at the event that it will increase its steps to increase its competitiveness in electric and hybrid vehicles.

The brand will also use battery and autonomous vehicle technologies more dynamically.

Hyundai Motor Company President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Jaehoon Chang noted that they plan to increase the brand's sales volume by 30 percent compared to 2023.

Hyundai, which aims to sell 5.55 million per year globally by 2030, also plans for 2 million of this figure to be Electric Vehicle (EV) models.

Focusing its investments and all its work in this direction, Hyundai aims to introduce new Long Range Electric Vehicle (EREV) models, a new type of EV with a range of more than 900 km on a single charge, primarily for the North American and Chinese markets.

Hyundai will also introduce 21 new electric vehicle models ranging from affordable models to luxury and high performance by 2030.

Hyundai, which focuses on electrification, will also introduce its advanced new generation hybrid system with improved performance and fuel efficiency.

Hyundai, which plans to increase its Hybrid Electric Vehicle (HEV) product range from the current 7 models to 14, will also offer new hybrid models in its luxury brand Genesis.

Hyundai, which also has battery technology on its agenda, is also strengthening its affordable nickel-cobalt-manganese batteries (NCM) and safety equipment.
