ChatGPT support came to Volkswagen models: Here are the cars that received the update

Volkswagen, which announced that it would bring ChatGPT to its vehicles at the beginning of this year, has added this feature to many vehicles.

Volkswagen has joined the generative AI group by announcing plans to integrate the ChatGPT chatbot into its vehicles starting in the second quarter of 2024.

Owners will be able to use the new super-powerful voice assistant to control basic functions like heating and air conditioning or answer "general knowledge questions."

VW promises that it won't force you to create a new account or install any apps.

The popular chatbot has found a place in most of the brand's new models. These models include the new Golf, Tiguan and Passat.

ChatGPT is also featured in the company's new electric cars ID.7, ID.4, ID.5 and ID.3.

Users will be able to benefit from the assistant for basic functions in the vehicle such as climate control and navigation.

ChatGPT can be activated by using the wake words "Hello IDA" or by pressing a button on the steering wheel.

VW said the questions and answers were "immediately deleted to ensure the highest possible level of data protection."

Many automakers have begun integrating generative artificial intelligence systems into their vehicles.

For example; Recently, giant navigation company TomTom partnered with Microsoft for such a move. Additionally, Mercedes-Benz added ChatGPT support to selected vehicles.
