According to the information on Tesla's website, the company increased the prices of all Model Y cars in the USA by a thousand dollars.
Accordingly, the Model Y basic variant is offered for sale at $ 44 thousand 990, while the long-range and performance variants are priced at $ 49 thousand 990 and $ 53 thousand 490, respectively.
Tesla CEO Elon Musk says that increasing prices are necessary for production to continue.
On April 23, Tesla decided to reduce automobile production in its factory in China, in an environment where it was struggling with falling demand and strong competition in the market.
Sources providing details on the subject claimed that company officials asked factory workers in Shanghai in early March to work five days a week and reduce the production of the Model Y sports utility vehicle and Model 3 sedan produced in China.
