Renault CEO Fabrice Cambolive said that they plan to launch both electric and gasoline hybrid cars in all segments in the next 10 years. However, the company had previously announced that they would sell only electric vehicles by 2030.
Electric cars, which have become very popular in recent years, have enabled many brands to make huge investments in this market.
So far, some automobile manufacturers have announced the dates when they will sell fully electric vehicles.
Renault, on the other hand, said that it would be a brand selling fully electric vehicles in Europe by 2030.
Speaking at the Geneva Motor Show, Renault CEO Fabrice Cambolive said that they plan to launch both electric and gasoline hybrid cars in all segments in the next 10 years.
Renault will continue to launch both hybrid vehicles with internal combustion engines and fully electric cars.
Two important European environmental agreements, such as the Paris Climate Agreement and the Green Deal agreement, contain conditions that will allow brands to sell only electric vehicles in 2030.
By 2040, first cars, then light commercial vehicles and then commercial vehicles will have to be sold with 0-emission engines.
In 2053, only zero-emission electric and hydrogen vehicles will be traveling on all European roads, including Turkey.
