Alpine Takes the 2024 LMDh Vehicle to the Tracks

Alpine Takes the 2024 LMDh Vehicle to the Tracks

Alpine, which has achieved successful work in motor sports, took its new vehicle to the track while preparing for the upper class of the World Endurance Championship.

After the decision to enter the WEC Hypercar class in 2021, instead of a new vehicle, Rebellion gained confidence by making a few changes to the R-13 LMP1 and gaining serious success. Alpine, which does not want to experience the disadvantages of racing with an old racing vehicle in the new seasons, has finally completed its design work.

The Oreca-based LMDh vehicle, named Alpine A424, was introduced to the world just before the Le Mans 2 races to be held in June. This was the Renault Group's first serious attempt at endurance racing since 1978.

Making a statement on the subject, Alpine team manager Sinault said, "We are very proud to be on the track with the vehicle for the first time."

"Everything went well in the end. We're really happy with the job done. It was like a big test run."

"We started working, but initially our plan was to check whether every function was perfect. The goal was also to work longer. As you can imagine, our priority was durability." said.
