BMW introduced the new M5 model, which is much more powerful than the previous generation. We take a closer look at the price and features of the car.
German automobile manufacturer BMW has lifted the lid on its seventh generation M5 model.
Although power is still provided by the twin-turbocharged 4.4-liter V-8, the car now comes with an electric motor with 717 horsepower.
A 14.8 kWh lithium-ion battery located under the floor powers the 194 hp electric motor stored in the eight-speed automatic transmission.
BMW claims that with the addition of the torque produced by the electric motor, the vehicle accelerates from zero to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds.
The new electric engine can enable the vehicle to travel on electricity alone for approximately 40 kilometers.
The new M5's exterior features a stiffer body structure, reinforced suspension mounts and additional cross braces under the hood.
While the classic double fishbone grille design is also seen in this model, the interior design is quite similar to previous models.
A new 12.3-inch digital screen and a 14.9-inch touch panel are also included in this model.
The price of the 2025 model BMW M5 starts from 120 thousand 675 dollars.
