18 Percent of Peugeots Sold in Europe Are Electric

18 out of 100 Peugeots sold in Europe (EU29) were powered by electricity. Here is the latest situation in sales.

Electric cars have been very popular lately and many brands are working on their own models. Peugeot, one of these brands, continues to increase its electric vehicle sales.

Peugeot announced its 2023 global sales results. In 2023, the company increased its sales by 6 percent compared to the previous year and left the year behind with 1 million 124 thousand 268 units.

The company continues to grow strongly outside the EU29, accounting for 28.2 percent of its global sales, and reached its highest market share in 17 countries in the last 15 years.

The company achieved 18 percent of its total sales in the EU29 region with its electric models.

The brand reached sales of 135 thousand 65 units in the Middle East and Africa. The company increased its market share in 21 countries in the region and stood out as one of the fastest growing brands among the top 10 with a market share of 6.4 percent in Turkey.

The brand, which closed the Latin American market with sales of 103 thousand 660 units in 2023, continued its growth with sales of 60 thousand 597 units in the India-Asia Pacific-China regions and 13 thousand 224 units in North America.

Peugeot 408, one of the brand's newest players, demonstrated a strong performance with global sales of 55 thousand 962 units.

Turkey attracted attention as the country where Peugeot 408 was sold the most in the world with 9 thousand 729 units.

Peugeot Partner and Rifter, the brand's players in the light commercial vehicle market, maintained the leadership of the compact van segment with sales of 121 thousand 560 units in 2023.

The markets where the brand is most preferred in 2023 are France (305 thousand 295 units), Italy (91 thousand 319 units), England (88 thousand 467 units), Turkey (78 thousand 632 units), Spain, Germany, Argentina, Benelux. , China and Brazil.
