Jeep is preparing for a major recall after fires broke out in eight of its cars so far.
According to recent media reports, 32,125 Wrangler 4xe models are being recalled due to the risk of fire after eight Jeep models burned. It will recall the Wrangler 4xe model produced between 2021 and 2024. It has been observed that the risk of fire increases when plug-in hybrid Wranglers are connected to chargers.
Jeep, which has come to the center of concerns as Wranglers pose a potential fire risk off-road, will offer its customers a routine inspection option together with its parent company Stellantis.
Following the investigation, 32,125 American Jeep Wranglers will be examined. Wranglers, especially the plug-in hybrid versions, are under intense attention due to their battery technologies. It was a great consolation that there was no loss of life in the fires.
