TOFAŞ took its 7 millionth car off the production line in the automobile production it started since 1971.
Continuing its production with the partnership of Koç Holding and Stellantis Group, TOFAŞ has unloaded its 7 millionth vehicle since 1971, when it first started production. The 7 millionth car of TOFAŞ, which continues its production in its factory in Bursa, is Egea Cross Wagon.
The number of models it has produced so far has been recorded as 25. Providing a large amount of products to the domestic market, TOFAŞ exported 3.7 million of the automobiles it produced. The revenue from this export was 43 billion dollars.
Cengiz EROL, CEO of TOFAŞ, made a statement on the subject and said; "Tofaş, in its journey to reach 7 million vehicle production, from a modest factory with a production capacity of 20 thousand units and nearly 600 employees when it started its operations, today with a production capacity of 450 thousand units and approximately 6 thousand employees, 700 of which are involved in R&D. It has turned into a production and R&D center that develops global automobiles and light commercial vehicles."
