While CATL president Robin Zeng did not give many details about the new batteries, he announced that they will have a new electrochemical structure that supports faster charging.
CATL company will use M3P battery cells in new batteries. These cells have higher energy density than regular lithium iron phosphate batteries.
CATL had previously announced that these batteries will offer electric vehicles a range of more than 700 km and will be fully charged in just 15 minutes.
