Over the past decade, many automakers have begun installing fake exhaust tips on their vehicles. Making a new statement, Audi announced that it will stop using fake exhausts.
In recent years, many car brands have started to include fake exhausts in their vehicles.
Although drivers criticized such fake practices for a long time, the brands did not take any steps.
Following intense customer feedback, Audi promised to use proper exhaust pipes in all future internal combustion vehicles and announced that it would now abandon the fakes.
Audi's change decision will start with the A5 and will probably include the upcoming Q5, A7 and Q7 models, as well as the A9 model, which will be the successor of the A8.
Current Audi models, as well as rival manufacturers, were using fake exhaust trims that were not connected to the actual exhaust system and were often molded as part of the rear bumper, seen on a few of their models.
