Nissan is preparing to put its much-loved and best-selling crossover models, Qashqai and Juke, on the roads as fully electric.
Nissan stated that the new investment of 2 billion sites made with the company and its partners will be spent on completely electric transformation. Juke and Qashqai, which have only existed with internal combustion engines to date, will continue their journey with electric power very soon.
It is aimed to install a new fully electric system after the EV36Zero center in the newly planned facility for Sunderland is launched in 2021. While the production of models with internal combustion engines continues at the Sunderland facility, the production of fully electric cars will begin within the scope of the investment.
