Volvo, which is among the brands that produce the most durable and safe cars in the world, is saying goodbye to diesel engines in 2024.
As the year 2025 approaches, automobile brands are slowly preparing to say goodbye to diesel and gasoline engine options. So much so that, in addition to the automobile brands that have already undergone a major electric transformation, Chinese-made brands have also started to rise.
Another news for electric transformation came from Volvo. While the share of diesel-powered Volvos in car sales in 2019 was 58%, this rate has now dropped to 8.9 percent. While the decisions taken in bringing the markets to these rates have a great impact, Volvo will completely stop selling diesel-powered vehicles as of the beginning of 2024.
