In July, after the production continued at full throttle in the automotive sector, a new record came in automobile sales.
Although the prices of automobiles were increasing day by day, after the demand increased at the same pace, there was a shortage of automobiles in the market. Increasing production with the summer period was also reflected in sales. Accordingly, automobile sales grew by 115.4 percent compared to the same month of the previous year.
According to ODMD data, the share of light commercial automobiles in the market grew by 115.4 percent and the automobile market by 109.4 percent in July. The Turkish automobile market had grown by 63.1 percent in 2023.
When we look at the engine distribution of the cars sold, it is seen that the most gasoline cars are sold. Electric cars, on the other hand, remained at the rate of 3.4 percent.
