Ambitious statement from Lucid: Tesla may catch up with us in 2032

Lucid Motors' boss said it will take 2032 for Tesla to catch up with them in terms of efficiency.

Lucid Motors has brought an ambitious challenge to Tesla, one of the rising stars of the electric car sector.

The company's CEO claimed that it will take a long time for the high efficiency of the Lucid Air to reach Tesla's current level.

Lucid Motors made a big splash in the electric car market, especially with its Lucid Air model. The vehicle's long range and high efficiency allowed it to leave its competitors in the sector behind.

Lucid Motors' boss claimed that it will take 2032 for Tesla to reach the efficiency of its new Air Pure, which he claims is the most efficient vehicle ever.

Last month, Lucid claimed that its updated Air Pure model was the most efficient car ever produced, with an energy consumption of 12.5 kWh/100km.

Offering a range of 676 km with its 84 kWh battery pack, the luxury electric sedan has an efficiency far beyond the Tesla Model S according to American EPA standards.
