BMW 7 Series received the necessary permits for autonomous driving in Germany

BMW 7 Series has managed to obtain the necessary permits for autonomous driving on German roads. With the BMW Personal Pilot L3 function in the BMW 7 Series, the driver can completely hand over the driving to the car at speeds of up to 60 km/h.

Nowadays, when the interest in electric cars is increasing, many companies are introducing their own electric cars.

These cars have the ability to drive themselves without a driver, thanks to their artificial intelligence technologies.

The BMW 7 Series has been given permission to drive almost on its own on German roads.

The Bavarian manufacturer has received approval to combine the Level 2 driver assistance system (BMW Highway Assistant) with Level 3 (BMW Personal Pilot L3) in the same car.

Starting from August 24, those who purchased the 7 Series with the BMW Personal Pilot L3 option will be able to add BMW Highway Assistant free of charge.

BMW Highway Assistant (Level 2) stands out as a steering and lane control assistant that can be used on divided roads and works at speeds up to 130 km/h.

When the car is in this mode, the driver can take his hands off the steering wheel, but he must maintain control of the road.

When driving in partially autonomous mode, the BMW 7 Series can change lanes on its own, thanks to Active Lane Change Assist.

With the BMW Personal Pilot L3 function in the 7 Series, the driver can completely hand over driving to the car at speeds of up to 60 km/h.
