Chinese Skywell to Produce Batteries in Turkey

Nowadays, where electric cars are now a part of our lives, investments in electric cars do not stop. While investments in batteries and technologies are currently continuing, one news came from Turkey.

Skywell, which has been offering the ET5 model for sale in Turkey since 2021, will be pleased with the intense interest it has received, saying that they have decided to open a battery factory in Turkey. It is stated that the factory will be in 800+4C architecture in the first quarter of 2024.

The factories to be produced at this facility have 480 kW of high-speed charging power and charge from 30 percent to 80 percent in approximately 40 minutes.

Regarding the subject, CEO of Skywell Türkiye said; We are very excited to manufacture the battery, which is a very important element in the transformation of the automotive market, in Turkey. We have now started the countdown for our battery factory, which will be opened until the first quarter of 2024.

Today, energy storage systems have also gained a critical importance. Storage systems, beyond supporting renewable energy, provide vital contributions to the user and the grid.

We anticipate that with the increase in renewable energy in these works, which will make significant contributions to our country's economy, our attainment of a sustainable future will accelerate.
