In the United States, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission filed a lawsuit against Tesla for racism against its black workers.
According to a New York Times report, it was claimed that black racists were subjected to bad rhetoric and were made to work harder than white workers in Tesla's California factory. However, it was reported that Tesla managers were also aware of this mistreatment and did not make any attempt to correct it.
The workers who complained about the issue were dismissed after voicing their complaints.
In the statement made by the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission; "He subjected his black employees at the Fremont plant to racist harassment and created a hostile work environment for his employees because of their race," it said.
